The gateway to the Pacific Northwest and its flourishing scenery, Ashland holds the keys to many opportunities. Lush with the trees and mountains of nature's beauty and filled with culture envied by many cities, this small town welcomes visitors and residents from all walks of life.
In 1935, local professor Angus Bowmer founded Ashland"s Tony Award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF). Featuring 11 plays in rotating repertory from February through mid-November, OSF "sets the standard” says USA Today and “is an extraordinary venture” reports England’s Guardian. Audiences from across the globe experience theatre of the highest caliber, swept away into the world of the stage.

OSF planted the seeds for an ever growing cultural atmosphere complete with theatre, music, dance, cabaret, art museums, fabulous dining and the newly recognized treasure of wines.
